Arpadites rimkinensis was named by von Mojsisovics (1896). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rimkin Paiar, Crinoidal Limestone, which is in a Carnian carbonate limestone in India.
It was recombined as Edmundites rimkinensis by Spath (1951).
