Taxonomy
Tritropidoceras packardi was named by Schenk (1935). Its type specimen is LSJU 5899 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tritropidoceras packardi type locality, which is in a Carnian terrestrial limestone in Oregon. It is the type species of Tritropidoceras.
