Taxonomy
Riphaeoclymenia polygona was named by Becker (2010). Its type specimen is MfN MB.C.2822 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ryan Quarry, south of Ada, which is in a Famennian marine shale in the Woodford Shale Formation of Oklahoma.
