Taxonomy
Ammonites gyrumbilicus was named by Quenstedt (1887) [Ammonites Parkinsoni compressus gyrumbilicus]. It is not extant.

It was recombined as Oraniceras gyrumbilicus by Besnosov and Mitta (1993); it was recombined as Parkinsonia (Oraniceras) gyrumbilica by Zatoń (2010).
