Mesonirvana orthoclada
Taxonomy
Mesocixiodes orthoclada was named by Tillyard (1922). Its type specimen is GSQI318, a tegmen, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Denmark Hill Insect Bed (Dunstan 1915-1916 collection), which is in a Norian pond siltstone in the Blackstone Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Mesocixoides orthoclada by Evans (1956); it was recombined as Eoscartoides orthocladus by Lambkin (2016); it was recombined as Mesonirvana orthoclada by Lambkin (2017), Szwedo and Huang (2019) and Dmitriev (2020).
