Tryphosuchus paucidens

Taxonomy
Melosaurus paucidens was named by Konzhukova (1955). Its type specimen is PIN 157/107, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kamenny Ravine (Ulema River), Isheevo, PIN 157, 2207, which is in an Urzhumian/Severodvinian fluvial sandstone/mudstone in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Tryphosuchus.

It was recombined as Tryphosuchus paucidens by Shishkin et al. (2000) and Schoch and Milner (2000).
