Taxonomy
Oppelia (Oecotraustes) rectus was named by Mitta (1993). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 115/2186 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Irganay, Dagestan (lower Tsudakhar Fm, subfurcatum zone), which is in a Subfurcatum marine horizon in the Tsudakhar Formation of the Russian Federation.
