Taxonomy
Garantiana asarjani was named by Besnosov (1990). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Irganay, Dagestan (basal Tsudakhar Fm, subfurcatum zone), which is in a Subfurcatum marine horizon in the Tsudakhar Formation of the Russian Federation.
