Taxonomy
Bajocisphinctes (Obsoletosphinctes) guramiformis was named by Besnosov (1993). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 115/1490,1493 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Dzhangura Mountain, Kuban River (lower upper Dzhangura Fm, subfurcatum zone), which is in a Subfurcatum marine horizon in the Djangura Formation of the Russian Federation.
