Taxonomy
Subgrossouvria hodjaikanensis was named by Besnosov (1993). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 115/1337 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kazanbulak Spring, Kugitangtau Range (top lower Baisun Fm), which is in a Bathonian marine horizon in the Baisun Formation of Uzbekistan.
