Rhytirhynchia hataiana
Taxonomy
Rhytirhynchia hataiana was named by Cooper (1957). Its type specimen is USNM 549307, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 17572, north of Shoshi (DF 145), which is in a Calabrian/Pleistocene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal grainstone/limestone in the Naha Formation of Japan.
