Taxonomy
Anomia sinuosa was named by Brocchi (1814).

It was synonymized objectively with Terebratula terebratula by García Ramos (2006); it was recombined as Terebratula sinuosa by Cooper (1983), Gaetani and Sacca (1985), García Ramos (2004) and Taddei Ruggiero et al. (2019).
