Taxonomy
Ustia atra was named by Ivakhnenko (2003). Its type specimen is PIN 4548/155, a mandible (Right dentary), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ust'e Strel'ny, PIN 4548, which is in a Severodvinian terrestrial horizon in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Ustia.
