Taxonomy
Calymene barnesi was named by Chatterton and Ludvigsen (2004). Its type specimen is GSC 122369, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is AN22, which is in a Rhuddanian open shallow subtidal limestone in the Becscie Formation of Canada.
