Taxonomy
Borealarges reedi was named by Adrain (1994). Its type specimen is UA 9221, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lichidae, Cape Phillips Fm., Homerian part, ABR sections, Cornwallis Island, which is in a Homerian slope packstone/wackestone in the Cape Phillips Formation of Canada.
