Taxonomy
Borealarges nicoae was named by Adrain (2003). Its type specimen is ROM 54001, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a cast. Its type locality is Lichidae, Cape Phillips Fm., Sheinwoodian part, ABR sects., Cornwallis Island, which is in a Sheinwoodian slope packstone/wackestone in the Cape Phillips Formation of Canada.
