Originally described as cf. Leptacodon choristus

Taxonomy
Leptacodon choristus was named by Secord (2008). Its type specimen is UM 80668, a mandible (Right dentary with p3-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Divide Quarry, which is in a Paleocene fluvial-lacustrine siliciclastic in the Fort Union Formation of Wyoming.
