Taxonomy
Lichas validus was named by Linnarsson (1869). Its type specimen is [lectotype selected by Warburg 1939], a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Lichas (Platylichas) validus by Gürich (1901); it was recombined as Platylichas validus by Warburg (1939).
