Quadrolaminiella was named by Chen et al. (1990) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-u]. It is not extant. Its type is Quadrolaminiella diagonalis.
It was assigned to Demospongia by Sepkoski (2002); to Protospongiidae by Finks et al. (2004); and to Porifera by Bambach et al. (2007).
