Taxonomy
Hemiarges aquilonius was named by Whittington (1961). Its type specimen is GSC 15242, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a cast. Its type locality is Locality 21, which is in a Ludlow marine reef rocks in the Read Bay Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Richterarges aquilonius by Adrain (1994).
