Taxonomy
Nonix sauroter was named by Lane (1984). Its type specimen is MGUH 16.338, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is unite 6D, Kayser Bjerg, which is in a Wenlock reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks/lime mudstone in Greenland.
