Taxonomy
Venericardia hannai was named by Tegland (1933). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is UC 32147, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Venericardia (Cyclocardia) hannai by Durham (1944); it was recombined as Cyclocardia hannai by Hickman (2015) and Hendy (2020).
