Taxonomy
Encrinurus confusevarus was named by Howells (1982). Its type specimen is BM In23189, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a mold. Its type locality is Camregan Wood, which is in an Aeronian deep-water sandstone in the Lower Camregan Grits Formation of the United Kingdom.
