Taxonomy
Transipsiloceras transiens was named by Guex (1980). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Level Z-14, Reno Draw section 3, which is in a Planorbis marine limestone in the Sunrise Formation of Nevada. It is the type species of Transipsiloceras.
