Gomiites latiaxis

Taxonomy
Cyphoproetus latiaxis was named by Kobayashi and Hamada (1986). Its type specimen is PA 18078, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is new trilobite collection, Gomi Quarry, which is in a Ludlow reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks/shale in the Fukata Formation of Japan.

It was recombined as Gomiites latiaxis by Stocker et al. (2019).
