Peltura bucklandii was named by Milne Edwards (1840). It is not extant.
It was recombined as Hemiarges bucklandii by Thomas (1981); it was recombined as Richterarges bucklandii by Thomas and Holloway (1988); it was recombined as Borealarges bucklandii by Adrain (1994).
