Taxonomy
Lichakephalus stubbsi was named by Fortey (2011). Its type specimen is HM 2010/125d, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bou Auglf, which is in a Tremadocian deep subtidal shelf limestone/shale in the Fezouata Formation of Morocco.
