It was assigned to Pleurodira by de Lapparent de Broin and Murelaga (1999); to Megapleurodira by Gaffney et al. (2006); to Pleurodira by Lapparent de Broin et al. (2004) and Vremir (2013); and to Panpleurodira by Pérez-García et al. (2012), Pérez-García et al. (2014) and Cadena and Joyce (2015).
