Trionyx latus

Taxonomy
Aspideretes latus was named by Gilmore (1919). Its type specimen is USNM 8802, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sand Creek [USNM], which is in a Campanian terrestrial horizon in Canada.

It was recombined as Apalone latus by Gardner et al. (1995); it was recombined as Trionyx latus by Vitek and Joyce (2015).
