Taxonomy
Arietites retroversicostatus was named by Canavari (1882). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Campiglia, near La Spezia, which is in an Angulata carbonate limestone in Italy. It is the type species of Schreinbachites.
It was recombined as Schreinbachites retroversicostatus by Bloos (1994).
