Pepsinites avitula
Taxonomy
Pepsis avitula was named by Cockerell (1941). It is not extant. Its type locality is Florissant (Cockerell Collection), which is in a Chadronian lacustrine - large shale in the Florissant Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Chirodamus avitula by Vardy (2005); it was recombined as Pepsinites avitula by Rodriguez et al. (2017).
