Taxonomy
Davletkulia gigantea was named by Ivachnenko (1990). Its type specimen is PIN 4311/1, a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yaman-Yushatyr, PIN 4311, locality 3 of Tverdokhlebov et al. 2005, which is in a Kazanian deltaic siltstone/conglomerate in the Belebei Formation of the Russian Federation.
