Taxonomy
Niobe brevicauda was named by Poulsen (1937). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 1, Andrée Land, which is in a Cassinian carbonate limestone in the Cape Weber Formation of Greenland.
It was recombined as Licnocephala brevicauda by Poulsen (1937) and Fortey and Bruton (2013).
