Chroniosaurus levis
Taxonomy
Chroniosaurus levis was named by Golubev (1998). Its type specimen is SGU 104B/1102, an osteoderm, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mutovino locality, PIN 3711, 3713, which is in a Wuchiapingian terrestrial lime mudstone in the Poldarsa Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Chroniosaurus, Chroniosuchus, Jugosuchus.
