Taxonomy
Aconeceras whitehousei was named by Brunnschweiler (1959). Its type specimen is CPC 2627a, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Eastern slope of Windalia Hill, 80 feet above base, which is in an Aptian marine siltstone in the Windalia Radiolarite Formation of Australia.
