Taxonomy
Nostoceras fisheri was named by Brunnschweiler (1966) [DISTRIBUTION: Maastrichtia; Australia.]. Its type specimen is CPC 2629, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Giralia Anticline (Brunnschweiler collection, Korojon Calcarenite), which is in a Maastrichtian carbonate limestone in the Korojon Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Nostoceras (Nostoceras) fisheri by Henderson et al. (1992).
