Taxonomy
Terebratulina perplexa was named by Cooper (1957). Its type specimen is USNM 549320, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 17656, Kakazu Ridge (FSM 88U), which is in a Pleistocene reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in the Sobe Formation of Japan.
