Taxonomy
Cyrtothyris undisona was named by Cooper (1993). Its type specimen is DM-PCZ303, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 109, Nibela Peninsula, which is in a Campanian marine siliciclastic in the St. Lucia Formation of South Africa.
