Taxonomy
Xenophora willisi was named by Webster (1983). Its type specimen is LACMIP 6453, a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LACMIP 2852, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Rosario Formation of Mexico.
