Taxonomy
Crassatellites stewartvillensis was named by Dickerson (1914). Its type specimen is UCMP 11668, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Crassatella stewartvillensis by Moore (2003) and Hendy (2020).
