Tenuichonetes tzunyiensis

Taxonomy
Chonetes tsunyiensis was named by Huang (1932) [Chonetes latesinuata var. tsunyiensis]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Shihtzup'u T39 (Wuchiapingian), Tsunyi-hsien, which is in a Wuchiapingian carbonate limestone in China.

It was recombined as Tenuichonetes tsunyiensis by Jin and Hu (1978); it was synonymized subjectively with Neochonetes (Sommeriella) strophomenoides by Shen and Archbold (2002); it was recombined as Tenuichonetes tzunyiensis by Shen et al. (2017).
