Taxonomy
Tetrentactinia was named by Foreman (1963) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fame Sepkoski's reference number: 154]. It is not extant. Its type is Tetrentactinia barysphaera. It is the type genus of Tetrentactiniidae, Tetrentactiniini.
It was assigned to Entactiniidae by Won (1997); to Spumellaria by Sepkoski (2002); and to Tetrentactiniini by Noble et al. (2017).
