Taxonomy
Bathyuriscus maximus was named by Mason (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Marble Mountains, near Cadiz (coll. Bradley and Mason 1934), which is in a Delamaran marine limestone/shale in the Cadiz Formation of California.
