Eocarpilius anomalus
Taxonomy
Menippe anomala was named by Rathbun (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is City quarry near cemetery, Wilmington, which is in an Eocene marine marl in the Jackson Formation of North Carolina.
It was recombined as Eocarpilius anomala by Blow and Manning (1996) and Schweitzer (2003); it was recombined as Eocarpilius anomalus by Schweitzer et al. (2010).
