Diagnosis
Reference | Diagnosis | |
---|---|---|
M. D. Uhen et al. 2008 | Differs from all living Odontoceti in having well-developed nasals overhanging the narial cavity. The nasals are large squared bones articulated by a broad base with the frontals, and projecting over the narial aperture, where they terminate in a nearly straight transverse edge, while their inferior surface is regularly beveled from the thickened base to the sharp anterior edge (Lydekker, 1894). |
