Rana pliocenica
Taxonomy
Rana pliocenica was named by Zweifel (1954). Its type specimen is UCMP 34564, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP 1037, Hipparion Point, which is in a Miocene terrestrial siliciclastic in the Pinole Tuff Formation of California.
