Taxonomy
Sowerbyella redstonensis was named by Mitchell and Sweet (1989). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Section W-1. 023.5 - 024.5 m. South Thundercloud Range, District of Mackenzie, which is in an Edenian carbonate limestone in the Whittaker Formation of Canada.
It was recombined as Thaerodonta redstonensis by Jin and Norford (1996).
