Taxonomy
Archivesica marincovichi was named by Kiel and Amano (2010). Its type specimen is UCMP 555221, a valve (right valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS loc. 4312 = UCMP IP1718, which is in an Oligocene marine horizon in the Kulthieth Formation of Alaska.
