Taxonomy
Flexicalymene cavei was named by Price (1974). Its type specimen is SM A57050, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. 25. Moldin, near Llandowror, which is in a Cautleyan marine limestone in the Sholeshook Formation of the United Kingdom.
