Taxonomy
Scolopax delicata was named by Ord (1825). It is extant.

It was recombined as Capella delicata by Wetmore (1937), Wetmore (1940), Miller and DeMay (1942) and Gut and Ray (1963); it was recombined as Gallinago delicata by Clements et al. (2017).
